The week has not gone as planned. A student has now been ban from computer use for the rest of the year. They will still have to do the skill and drill programs of their Math and English classes but all other computer use has been ban. This makes no sense to me and I have not decided how to approach it yet. I have three computer related projects that the students need to complete for my class. I realize they could do it at home but what do they do while the rest of the class works on their projects. I had just set it up so all tests and quizzes are also online. It is a little frustrating but I’ll come up with some creative way to solve the dilemma.
The blogs should go up today and Facebook search for a resource group will happen yet this week.

It is unfortunate that a student made poor choices and now will be unable to particiate in the class project. The thing that is sad it that it will not require you to do more work because a student could not handle using the computer. Have you talked to your administration? Perhaps if the student were carefully supervised they could maybe complete the projects with the class? I am impressed that your district allows students to use Facebook and blogs. What grade level do you teach? Teachers cannot even access those types of sites at my school. Good luck- I hope you will be able to come up with a solution!
